You could have made a case for him as newcomer of the year if we had had one of those. I thought he deserved to be on first team looking at the numbers and the type of year he had.

I'm just real happy for those kids. They worked hard to earn these opportunities. I think they are all very deserving and it's going to be a great opportunity for them. We want as many of them as possible that want to play at the next level get that chance. It's nice to see them get rewarded for their efforts.

That type of players needs to make plays and he did.

People challenged him and he stepped up to the challenge. He solidified himself as one of the best corners in the area.

To watch someone that is basically 5-foot-7 go out and have that kind of year at the 5A level is quite an accomplishment in my opinion.

To make the move and have that kind of an impact is a great thing for us. He had a great season. He's one of those kids that plays a lot quicker than his size.

I think they're doing well. Kids are typically resilient.

Looking at the numbers he had a great year. It was a really good deal for him.

He was our best lineman all year long. I think he had a great senior season. He was the leader of our front five and being named to the first team is a great way for him to go out.

We have really come a long way from where we were to where we are now. We've gotten to where we can compete with the best teams in the area. We're playing at a very high level now.
